Sweden
The Swedish government doesn’t have an official Twitter presence and Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt is not on Twitter. However, his Foreign Minister @CarlBildt is probably the best example of how political leaders should use Twitter. The government has also given the administration of the @Sweden Twitter account to a different citizen each week with mixed results.

The Swedish Royal Court had a rather brief experience on Twitter in the summer of 2009. From the beginning of June to the end of August the account tweeted the activities of King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria, for example her receiving her diploma from Uppsala University. After only 13 tweets, none of which were ever re-tweeted, the account ceased all activity. It is interesting to note that the Swedish Royal Court is followed unilaterally by the Prince’s Palace of Monaco (@PalaisMonaco).
